This museum has a lot of great paintings and history of George Washington. The displays are well done and the Civil War is honestly depicted. Currently, there is an exhibit of toys from the 50s-70s. This was a great place to hang out and reminisce...More

My mom does genealogy and she loves to visit places that have family history, which she finds in this library. Great collection of books and manuscripts that relate to our family.

I did not have much time to visit the museum but they have some unusual exhibits and I bought some items at the gift shop that really could be called good gifts.

Although the building appears to be huge, the number of collections on view are minimal. However, they're awesome and very educational for all ages. We look forward to taking visiting grandchildren this fall.

The 'Toys of the 50s 60s and 70s' special exhibit drew us in, after having ignored visiting this venue for many years. 'Toys' was wonderful (it is a traveling exhibition, out of Rochester NY) and it took us hours to see and enjoy everything. The...More
