Carytown is one of my favorite spots in Richmond. There are tons of cute little shops around town, some of them are even Virginia based shops. The restaurants are all different cuisines and as I have tried a lot of them, I'd say all are...More

Carytown is a fun part of Richmond that is well worth a visit. There are lots of interesting shops and many good restaurants to try. We've always had good luck parking on a nearby side street, so don't let the parking scare you.

Second debut is a wonderful place that’s like a boutique Goodwill and you always get super beautiful things and bargains. I highly recommend it.

Really enjoyed walking down the street in Carytown, taking in all the little shops and restaurants. Area is close to the museum district and VCU, so great location. Highly recommend to all out of town visiters and this is a "must do" in Richmond.

This short area of Cary street is likely a favorite of VCU students with its multitude of bars, restaurants, and consignment shops. It's only a few blocks and we'd suggest not going on Monday since many of the shops/restaurants are closed.

The answers provided are correct. I don't think any restaraunts allow dogs in. But, some shops will allow them. I know there is a dog pet treat shop that you and your dog can shop at.

Many of the shops keep their own, non-standard hours. I am sure you can check online for a specific shop. But, if that isn't an option, I would stick to 10-5 for M-S and on Sunday, 12-5. For example, Ten Thousand... More
