Wander, walk, explore along the James River. The waterside path is worth several hours of your time. Bring lunch and a water bottle. Even though you are next to the river it is best not to drink the water. Enjoy the walk.

River is worth checking out. Great place for a walk/run or bike. Great place for photos. Parking is free. Has a great view of the city.

There is a waterfront area that follows the river and has restaurants and a nice walk along. From the bridge there is a nice photograph. There are places where you can rent boats. People fish. the various colleges also rqace on the river.there .
