I was a long time State employee and was interested in all the new security measures and entrance to the Capitol Building. The grounds were much as I remembered. The crocuses were in bloom!

I went to see Houdon's George Washington, but enjoyed all the other history too! the ladies working the welcome center were full of information and so helpful with places to eat and visit. The architecture is stunning, and the history alive.
