Maymont is a 100-acre American estate, an extraordinary gift given to the community by James and Sallie Dooley who lived there from 1893 to 1925. Whether strolling in the gardens, touring the mansion or petting a goat, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

A lovely spot. Would be even better with more funding. The house tour was informative but slow. Nice to see everything virtually unchanged.

This park has so much to offer everyone. Gardens, zoo, leisurely strolls. Such a beautiful park and no fee for admittance. Just show up and enjoy. They often have festivals, etc. happening. Tip: bring a picnic and enjoy.

While in Richmond, we visited the Maymont Mansion. We learned many interesting things about the Dooley family who were the owners. Our tour guide, Katie, was a delight. One drawback was the cobblestone paths which made walking very difficult.

Annuals, and Rose bushes are typically still in full bloom. I would contact Maymont directly to see if they have a more specific answer for you.
