Fantastic tour! Very educational and I especially liked meeting the folks at the Triangle Theater, the Dancing Man building, and Blue Bee Cider. Doug Camp was so knowledgeable about Scott's Addition and really made the neighborhood come alive. I wish the tour could have lasted...More

What a lovely place to spend an hour or two on a rainy afternoon! We loved the space and the creative way the history of Richmond was displayed. The additional complimentary tour of the Wickham-Valentine home accessed through the "secret" door was a treat. Our...More

This is so worth visiting and a definite recommendation. Great, informative, well done displays in the museum. Guided tour of the Wickham/Valentine home is awesome. Some original furnishings and artifacts. Others are period pieces. Rooms beautifully restored with noteworthy architectural details.

Really nice if compact display, tells a lot of Richmond's story, with some nice side displays on jazz. The cellar was unexpectedly nice as a space to explore. Also, the sculpture display was very educational. Reasonable $5 fee, and free parking, quite cool for a...More

If you want to know about Richmond history, this place is for you. Exhibits were engaging and wide-ranging. I loved the city map on the floor in one of the first floor galleries. My favorite was a fashion exhibit...of very unusual fashion. The tour of...More

Granted we were there in mid January, but the house is amazing and our guide was great. She was an art history major and that added greatly to the tour. The house is a great example of showing off your wealth.

I ended up at the Valentine for a business event. It was amazing! I can't get over how much Richmond history is packed into it! I really loved the bilingual exhibit and the textile exhibit. Definitely worth a visit!!
