We have lived in VA for almost 20 years in Hampton Roads but never really visited Richmond. We finally decided to visit. This tour is a good overview of Richmonds history and of the highlights of the city. Our tour guide Steven was very knowledgeable and personable. We were entertained the entire two hours. There are stops where he pointed... More

It's such a great way to show out of towners our beautiful city. It's very comprehensive. Much is packed into two hours. We had Emily as our guide and she is very informative. The trolley is comfortable. We were warned there were no bathroom breaks. One woman said she really needed one though, so the driver accommodated her of course.... More

Our visit was a short one and we wanted to see the historical places throughout Richmond. RVA Historic Tours provided that option at a reasonable price. The trolley took us along the canal to Brown's Island and the knowledgeable tour guide provided highlights from Richmond's past and present, told stories about life during the Civil War, and shared interesting and... We did the 2 hour tour of the downtown Richmond area, and it was well worth the time and money. We've lived in the Richmond area for about 11 years, and generally knew where we were at the whole tour, but what we learned about the many historic sites was amazing. Melissa was our tour guide, and did an awesome... More

My husband booked this tour as a fun family thing to do over the holidays. I was lukewarm about it at first, but as soon as I got on the trolley and Melissa, our tour guide, started talking, I knew I was going to love it. Two hours of intersesting history about our very historic city shared by a guide... More

My sister in law and I live in rural areas not far from Richmond, VA. We do a lot of traveling but don't do much sight seeing close to home. We decided to change that and started with this historic trolley ride in Richmond. Our guide was Stephen. He was extremely knowledgeable and charismatic. We learned a lot and had... More

I was in town for a short while and wanted to get great overview of this terrific city Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining without missing a beat. We were there early December so did not run into a lot of other tourists or any problems booking. Their website seems to give a different address but we managed to... More

Whenever we visit a place that we haven't been to before, we try to take a tour of the city. This two hour tour was very informative. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and constantly told us little tidbits about the city. After taking the tour we were able to go back and see the sights that we wanted to.... More

Our two hour trip around Richmond was guided by Sandy and driven by Cleve. Sandy kept us fascinated with historic details and anecdotes while Cleve kept us safe at every stop. A former teacher, Sandy knew the backstory to every building and event. This is a great overview to the city's attractions and history but it is not your typical... More

I was in Richmond with my wife and two friends for just two days to tour the city. The 2-hour trolley tour was the perfect way to get a quick overview of the different sections of Richmond, its history and its main attractions. The tour guide, Steven, who is a native Richmond resident, pointed out the highlights and could answer... More
