Note: This review is just for the apprearance of the thearter. I found this handsome building not far from the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. Silly me, I though it is part of VCU so I wandered to ask what department is the building. Well,...More
I'm not sure what's going on, but typically I've like attending the Altria Theater, however, in recent years ticket prices have sky-rocketed. Ticket prices seemed to have nearly doubled for the base ticket price and 50% on the service fee. I don't think it is...More
My wife and I went to the Altria Theater to see Jackson Browne perform. The Altria Theater is nice but the seating above the second row in the upper level is poor at best when you consider leg room. Acoustics were great. View of the...More
I love this theater. The staff is amazing. Large restrooms. Great acoustics. Comfortable seats. It is beautiful. But be aware - there are bad seats in the house! Grand Tier Section B. Row G. Seat 203.
Terribly disappointed! Almost completely obstructed view, and the person...More
We were in Richmond for just the day and happened to see "Rent" was playing so had to make seeing this a priority along with seeing the inside of the theater. We were able to score some inexpensive seats in the balcony and once we...More
We took our grandson for a show. It was our first time at this theater. There is a parking garage adjacent to the venue which worked out well. The theater is not huge which was nice, seems that there are no bad seats. The acoustics...More
Our second time here to see Gabriel Iglascius (Fluffy). Design does not have a bad seat. Acoustics are great. A little intimidating to get to mezzaine or balcony seats ( until you find the elevators). Well lite parking garage is adjacent to theater.
My seat was on balcony F row C seat 607 which is an aisle seat. I’m short and the seat space is cramped so I had my leg in the aisle. In line with my eyes was a metal structure which obscured the left part...More

Sadly, it's not open as a venue to view. Take a look the next time there's something there you might want to see! (I just checked the website to make sure there are no special days when one can simply visit.)
I was in orchestra A - Row H. Facing the stage, I was on the right. However, anyone that was on the right side of the stage was not visible. A previous show I was on the opposite side (don't have map ) but whatever is in the... More
I was in orchestra A - Row H. Facing the stage, I was on the right. However, anyone that was on the right side of the stage was not visible. A previous show I was on the opposite side (don't have map ) but whatever is in the middle is great. An usher told us to get Grand Tier seats, section B or F and pay less money.
