Antonelli San Marco is an organic wine and farming estate located centrally within Montefalco's DOCG winemaking area in Umbria. With a background rich in history, the Antonelli family is passionately committed to caring for their territory and dedicated to producing quality wines and extra virgin olive oil. And of late emmer wheat products, chickpeas and cured pork cuts made from their

free-range pigs.

Our wine-tourism extends to include apartment hospitality in the old restored farmhouse - "Casale Satriano" and nature walks through our beautiful 40 hectares of woods.

In 2009 “Cucina in Cantina” was launched - a taste education programme specialising in wine tasting and cellar visits, cooking lessons, wine-pairing lunches and dinners open by reservation only.

Winery visit & Tasting Programme

Experience the taste of authentic Umbrian home cooking paired with the right wine.

4 - course lunches/dinners with typical products

Seasonal menu of Umbrian antipasto, pasta, meat, vegetable dishes and dessert. € 37,00.

3 - course lunches/dinners with typical products

Cooking school

“Cucina in Cantina” is about Umbrian home-cooking. A hands-on approach is favoured in the kitchen where the atmosphere is friendly and serene. All the recipes are exquisite and simple to make. After the cooking, a convivial lunch or dinner is served with Antonelli wines.

Choose from a one-day lesson at € 120,00 or from one of the 3-hour lessons at € 80,00.

A team of “casalinga” home cooks, namely Teresa and Leonella are coordinated by Home Economist Wendy Aulsebrook who will direct your attention to particular aspects of preparations.

Reknown for our excellent food & wine and professional service we look forward to your visit!

Wendy, an Australian who has lived in Italy for 20 years, was a wonderful and very passionate host. She has a great love for and background in good food and wine, and we were so grateful to have our wine tasting with her. We tried four signature organic wines and their bruschetta with organic extra virgin olive oil in their... More

The tour was great however a bit dear for 10euro especially since tasting is free. Wine is at least 4 euro more expensive per bottle when compared to the COOP down the road. A bottle of wine and a tour with tasting, which was free for another couple, costed 30 euro. In montalcino you get a better experience. The same... More

Your review surprises us considering your 10,00 euro tour and tasting lasted for a good hour or more and included a tasting of some 8 wines accompanied by a bruschetta of our extra virgin olive oil. The couple you refer to only stayed 15 minutes and tasted 3 wines and did not have a tour of the wine cellar. We... More

Went for an unanounced afternoon tasting and were greeted with the warmest reception. We had consumed a bottle of their wine the night before at the restaurant at the Borgo dei Conti and wanted to taste more. Very gracious people and wonderful wines! They even helped us find another winery when we had gotten lost trying to get there before... More

Our hotel recommended Antonelli cellars, so we drove by and stopped in for a visit of the vineyards and some wine tasting on a Sunday afternoon. They are the second biggest producer of Montefalco wines (after Caprai). The grounds were beautiful and there are even some trekking paths -- best of all, there was nobody else around for miles. The... More

We had a wonderful host(name escapes me) who is the chef for the cooking school. She fixed fabulous farro soup, bruschetta, many different kinds of breads, salumi, cheese, and we had to turn down dessert. The wines were good as well. The olive oil was good too. Next time I will definitely try the cooking school.

We went to the cooking class and learned how to make fist course of eggplant and cheese, pasta with simple fresh tomato sauce, chicken and potatoes and finallypanna cotta con salsa al chocolate. I had fun watching and cutting. The best was actually making the dough for noodles and then getting the finished product to eat. All in all a... More

We came to the Antonelli Cantina for the purpose of attending the cooking class. We were greeted by Wendy and Teresa, our cooking instructors. The class was held in the Cantina's commercial type kitchen, which was a great venue for the class. Wendy and Teresa expertly guided us through 9 recipes, including homemade tagliatelle, which turned out perfectly, thanks to... More
