What can I say. After someone saying it’s a great little pub run by an Englishman we all called in for a drink. 4 of us. I have never felt so unwelcome ever in my life and even on saying goodbye he just glared at us. Live and learn and for our week here we used the w2 pub down the road instead

I would like to thank the Bell Pub for its warm and friendly atmosphere, the staff and locals are all very welcoming. The Breakfasts are really really good and the pub grub they serve during the day and evening is well priced and good. We particularly liked the liver meals and the steak and kidney pie but every thing we ate here was tasty.
This place is an excellent find for those wanting a relaxing pub to eat and drink in and I would recommend it to all staying in the Qwara area

Was getting bored of our all inclusive breakfasts and as it was our last full day we thought we would try elsewhere and we were glad we did. We had 2 belly buster fully English breakfasts with toast and mugs of coffee all for €5.50 each such great value we couldn't quite finish it all and it was so well cooked as well. The warm friendly welcome we got and the table service was superb a real credit to the owners. Will we go back?...... of course we will but not at the moment as we are well and truly stuffed ☺

Had cottage pie with pink mince....yuck!!!
Complained to be told by unenthusiastic staff they would pass message to chef...nothing said about replacement meal (which I wouldn't have had) no apology or offer of refund...
Would never go again !!

This place used to be a local institution but has undergone a sad decline. Asking what the breakfast consisted of, I was greeted with a couple of tuts and grunts which continued throughout the ordering. When the breakfast arrived it was barely edible. The bacon was barely recognisable and each rasher of fat fit comfortably on my fork. The beans were anemic and in a sauce which seemed to be nine parts water. The sausages were overcooked and I suspect warmed-up from the previous day. Bread was presented in a plastic basket, the inside was covered in grease, dirt and crumbs and I would guess that it hadn't been washed in at least a week. If they need to increase the prices to use better quality food then so be it. They could also invest some money in cleaning the place - especially the bread baskets. If you pulled into a bad transport cafe in England, this is what you would get, I don't understand all the recent praise and suspect it is based on the price rather than the food. €3 for breakfast.

We tried The Bell after reading the reviews and were not disappointed. I have been coming to Malta for over 20 years, and this is by far the best Full English I have ever had here, Real English bacon, lovely runny yolks on fried eggs and a gorgeous strong cup of tea, chilled juice also. The only reason I havnt marked this excellent is the pricing discrepancy. A Bell Breakfast is priced at 3 euro and a half breakfast at 2.50 euro, yet when we went to pay , were charged 7.50 euro, we didn't query at the time because even at 7.50 for 2 breakfasts, it is still cracking value.

good morning ..Thank you so much for the great comments ,,,I can see the mix up on the pricing situation .... The price of the breakfast includes One drink ,,Coffee ,,Tea ,,,Water or Orange ,so for a Breafast and a small one and 2 Tea's it would have been 5.50 but with the extra Oranges it brought the price to 7.50 ....Hope I have explained it well ,,, Thanks again and hope to see you if you come to Malta again

Currently staying at the Soreda, but head for the Bell most days.Great choice of beers including one called 8.6 which is dynamite plus other European lagers and beers all €2 or under. Snacks are excellent and are very good value. This is a very popular bar with both locals and visitors and it is easy to see why. Well worth a visit..
