Thèse little splash parks are perfect for little ones (under 10?) and even better that this one is free! Much safer than then bobbing about in the sea it they’re young. Plenty of places to eat and drink nearby too.

We visited this place some 2 years ago and it is just the same but too many people in at one time mainly due to the rain. The electronic info machines are too small but we like the info etc.

Firstly this review is the small water park in Bugibba on the front- not the aquarium or the large adult water park at Bahar.
This water park is suitable for babies and children up to about 10. We have been visiting for 3 years with our 3 year and it is brilliant! Firstly it is free a rarity today! And it is great to spend an hour and watch your little one play with the water attractions. There is no pool or slide but lots of jets spraying water to cool off. Well worth a visit!

Shut and abandoned.
Litter on every street corner.
Every 5th building either derelict or a building site.
The skyline is adorned with cranes wherever you look.
The place is a shitehole.
Does not feel safe after dark.
Migrant builders taken over the area.

Great day with lots of slides to try. Was a bit concerned over safety as shortly after arriving there was an accident on a slide with a person left unconscious. It appeared that the staff had to man more that 1 slide!

Really good place for kids to enjoy water in safe environment, they have 3 sections depending on age/height of the children. One thing I would suggest is that they should be more careful when older kids go into younger kids sections, as it's simply not fair for toddlers when their fountains are blocked by the 15 year olds. I would also welcome more shaded areas for the parents as it is not easy to sit in the sun for long time. Otherwise great and for free :).

Imagine, when you were younger, you were allowed to go to a place where you could put your swimsuit on and allowed to get as wet as you want, while running around in a safe environemt without annoying arm bands or floaties cos you cannot drown. Where the water features are designed for your own age group and your parents can watch safely out of water shot on the side. Parents can help the toddlers if they like. You play for 20 minutes, get out to make way for others and queue up again as many times as you want. Did I mention it is completely free? Welcome to the Bugibba Water park. Love it, love it, love it.

Liked the food and the fresh air, but the place was overcrowded and under staffed. The people's friendliness varied, but some assistants did not listen to their visitors. i would not return to such a place. The communication of the staff was unclear.

Hi we fly to Buggiba Malta on 29th and have never been before. We are going all inclusive but are worried as we have now seen awful reviews of the hotel...the blue sea buggiba apartments and hotel?? Know it???
So I am trying to put a itinery of activities together for my 9 year old...is your water park open between 29th-04th January?
What would you recommend to do in Buggiba whilst there??
Many thanks...please help...Emma.

Hi,
We live in St. Paul's bay right next to Bugibba!
The water parks will be closed, they're only open in the summer. But just up the road in walking distance is the national aquarium, a bit like a sea life centre with nice cafe and outdoor play park.
If you have a hire car there's absolutely loads to see and do, or you can get around on the buses without too much trauma.
Popeye village is a nice day out for kids, in mellieha, worth checking out!
I have a 2 yr old, so I'm not sure what a 9 year old is into, but there are good parks around the island if they are of interest? Look up ta'qali adventure park :).
A good way to see the island is to do the hop on hop off sight seeing tours if you're not having a car, buses go every half hour and are easy to do and not too expensive.
If wandering into St. Paul's bay, on the main high street (mosta road) is the donut factory (nice cafe, not a factory!!) which do amazing donuts and drinks.
Make sure you try the pastizzi's from one of the shop windows or bakeries on the high street, they're like pasties and are filled with either ricotta or a veggie pea mix. Really nice snack/lunch if on the go.
There are lots of great restaurants around if you find your place isn't great, it's a shame to pay twice I know, but eating out is good around that area.
Hope some of this helps, I can't think of much more right now but happy to help if you want other ideas of places to go see in general. Have a lovely time!

Hi Lacey,
The name Waterpark might be deceiving.
It is a flat park with water spraying elements all around. It is for kids with an area for babies, one for toddlers and preschoolers and one for school aged children.
It's around 50m in length (I would have said) and had no slides, climbing frames or indeed any traditional play park features. It's free! It's fun for kids (and the parents who get involved)! And it's in a great location near the beach! There is a water park in a town close by but I don't have those details.
