Cross middle bridge from woodstock center (right in front of woodstock inn) go straight in Mountain avenue and follow Faulkner Trail sign on the right. Even with the snow the path is clearly marked and easy to follow. Nice and easy walk into the woods,...More

This mountain offers a wide variety of strolls and hikes depending on weather (snow, ice, summer) and people (there are stroller friendly routes). And very close to Woodstock, in fact in Woodstock itself so great to combine with lunch in Woodstock.

Easy hike up the mountain on a leisurely winding trail. Can be difficult at the end (there is a wire handrail to help guide in the final stretch) but overall a simple walk. We saw many families with young children as well as older couples...More

An easy hike-as long as it dry- to the top with a wonderful view of the surrounding area. A great way to see the town in all it's fall glory!

Take a couple of hours and stop shopping! Faulkner Trail is a well designed nature trail to the top of Mount Tom. It's a beautiful walk, and should be easy enough for most ages. We walked from Mountain Rd. up the trail to Tom, and...More

We hiked up using the Faulkner Trail, and it did not disappoint. Relatively easy hike/ascent with beautiful view of the town and surrounding countryside on a clear day. Go to the pond at the top, then descend via the carriage trails. Very manageable. Carriage trails...More

It is an easy hike from the parking lot off Prosper Road. Not too much elevation and what there is is gradual. The view is worth it!

It's doable on one of the trails, but not all of them. I can't recall the name of the trail we ascended on, it was much safer than the one we descended on.
