This museum is free and not out of the way if you're staying in town. It's not so much a museum as a display of old equipment, there are no signs or descriptions really. You just walk through it before visiting the shop, but it...More

Cool stop in a cool town. The views are amazing. We stumbled upon the textile mill to try to get some history in. The old mill is pretty neat. Purchased a really nice blanket for my family.

Tried to visit on a Saturday in August. It was closed. It closes every Saturday. This is not very helpful. Perhaps they don't care.

We stopped here and my wife could not resist the beautiful and well-made shawls and purses. She bought one of each. On the day we were there, not much was going on in the factory, but the showrooms had plenty to look at.

It is possible to learn how the beautiful items made from local wool are produced and to purchase exceptionally well made blankets and other items.

They have a website and you can order their products online. There is not much to see from a manufacturing perspective but their shawls and blankets are beautiful. They also have jackets, ponchos, hats, shoes etc. A bit expensive but well made. We bought throws...More
