This extraordinary zoo, one of the oldest in the U.S., underwent a multi-million dollar renovation in the 1980s and is still expanding. Its landscaping replicates the natural habitats of the numerous animals, some of which are endangered species. Four panda bears from China delight the crowds, and groups of gorillas separated by moats do their own share of entertaining.

Very well done exhibits. Larger than most zoos I've been to. Easy ride on the subway plus the bus (#32 I think) . On a nice day in January, was not crowded, plus reduced admission price.

Great zoo. Loved the large primate area. A few Silverbacks(my favorite). Great viewing areas for the different exhibits, with enough room where you didn't feel over crowded.

We took our 11 year old and he had a ball. It rained a bit which diminished the outdoor visiting somewhat but the zoo has lots of interesting and varied animals that all members of the family should enjoy. Well worth the time to visit.

The Atlanta Zoo is one of four Zoos in the U.S. currently housing giant pandas, yes I said Pandas and they are so dang cute. As for the rest of the Zoo? It is the best I have visited.

We took our daughter to the zoo for her birthday. I thought that it wouldn't be very fun for adults, but we all had the best time. The weather was great and the animals were out. Watching the gorilla feeding time was fun! Plus the new amphibian center was interesting even though I'm not snake person.

It was really interesting and had a lot of critically endangered and at risk species. The down side is, some animals were missing and took a lot of time.

It was not appealing. For it to be the zoo in Atlanta, I expected way more. The animals were not visible. The ones I did see were very fragile looking.

I LOVE animals and I've never been to the ATL zoo, so I finally went. Who told me to go on Halloween. It was so packed. Everywhere you look is a kid. Lol Anyway, I thought this would have been a cool zoo, but was a little disappointed. There weren't a lot of animals in it and the food is... More
