Overview
More
This extraordinary zoo, one of the oldest in the U.S., underwent a multi-million dollar renovation in the 1980s and is still expanding. Its landscaping replicates the natural habitats of the numerous animals, some of which are endangered species. Four panda bears from China delight the crowds, and groups of gorillas separated by moats do their own share of entertaining.

This would have been an average zoo. But the pandas make it exceptional. They also have a big habitat of Gorillas. A good half day to enjoy with kids.

Having been to other zoos I was amazed at how close the animals are. This is not the largest zoo but it is big enough that even with many animals away for the winter there was enough to spend a few hours walking around. The...More

Reasons for 4 rather than 5 star. 1). The only five star Zoo is San Diego Zoo. 2). The script at the kids show is so funny but weakly executed. A high school drama teacher could volunteer their time and add a ton of value...More

An average zoo. Our kids are in the teens already so it is not a very exciting place for them anymore. But we still enjoyed the kangaroo and the panda which is a first time for us to see.

We had a blast! My kids 2 and 6 had an amazing time especially seeing the pandas, the lion brothers and more! The zoo is clean and well kept. Worth the money and time!

Lots of animals spread out over the area. Lots of good walking. Animals were very active and it was impressive. Very big children play area.

My wife and I went here for her birthday. 65 degrees in February made for a great day to see the zoo. All but one of the food and drink areas was closed. Maybe because it is Wednesday in February. There were about 10 exhibits...More

I went to the zoo with my daughter and our granddaughter after not having been to the zoo for probably 25 years. Needless to say they have upgraded it quite a bit. More animals, better layout, more shade (that will be important in summer) and...More

Your best bet would be to call the zoo. They would make those types of decisions depending on the type of weather.
