Took my grown son and his girlfriend here mostly as a gag, but it turned out to be a great creative learning experience. We toured the museum and saw Sesame Street characters and the muppets. It was a memory lane tour! The show at the time was beauty and the beast which was very cute. Overall it was a great... More

I loved this place, it tells the story of the muppets from conception to films, Jim Henson's other creations like fraggle Rock and labyrinth. There is a second exhibition of world puppets too. Some of the interactive displays a bit sad and worn but over all a fab way to spend an afternoon

Just saw another performance at the Center with my family, for my five year old grandson's birthday -- The Sound of Music. This may have been too serious a performance for my three year old granddaughter, but there have been many others that were more appealing to her. I appreciated that the marionettists were "uncovered" at the end of the... More

We saw the "Space" show, made a puppet and toured the museum! It was a fantastic experience! The show was educational and entertaining. The staff kept things moving for everyone. The puppet workshop was a more intimate experience for kids. The school groups did not take part in this, which was more pleasant for us. The staff were energetic and... More

We took our school's first grade classes to their "Space" puppet show. It was so well done, interactive, and full of educational information! Although it was engaging for first graders, it had information that would be enjoyable for older elementary students as well. The workers were welcoming, enjoyed their jobs, and were professional in the way they led us. From... More

This place is a gem! There are two parts to the museum: The Jim Henson Exhibition and the Regular (Standing) Exhibition. The Jim Henson part is amazing - there are so many artifacts from his life and his early work, leading to how the Muppets, Sesame Street, Fraggle Rock and other characters were created. There are replicas of Kermit, Miss... More

This newly renovated Center for Puppetry Arts was a unique experience. I had never been to a museum of puppetry arts and Atlanta has landed a phenomenal collection of all kinds of puppets but the most amazing is that of the Muppets collection. I attended a seasonal showing of "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" after being persuaded by my adult... More

Brought me back to childhood. I'm absolutely amazed at the work and detail. Learned how far reaching Jim Hensons work goes.
