A wonderful way to spend an hour or two to take a break from the city streets. It affords great views of midtown from the lake.

Rented one speed bikes at Skate Escape and went around the park twice. Very nice park and the baby ducks were so cute!

I'm a native Atlantan and have been coming here since I was 6. This is the best city park. It was designed by Olmstead. It has a great dog park with big dog and separate little dog sections. Great walking track for running or bicycle.

Loved spending part of our morning exploring Piedmont Park. It was a lovely spring day to go in and check out the ponds where fish, ducks, geese (even goslings) and turtles were sun bathing. We enjoyed the many benches and sculptures it had to offer.

Encourage you to take a walk through this gorgeous, well-kept park. It was peaceful and grande. Reminded me of Central Park in NY.

Visited a pal in the neighborhood and was delighted to find this "Mini Central Park" area with a lake (pond?) and easy access to shops. Great ambiance with joggers, dog walkers, musicians, and with some historical markers thrown in. Nice job, Atlanta!

Piedmont Park is a great haven in the middle of a city. A favorite of mine is Park Tavern located inside. It's a wonderful restaurant that offers concerts, ice skating (in the winter) and other events. A bonus is the late night happy hour and...More

No you would need to drive from what I remember. Beautiful place. The aquarium is awesome. Also for the aquarium park in the left across the street for like $5.
Plan on traveling to Atlanta in May 2017 and wanted to know the food situation in Midtown particularly around the Botanical Gardens - The restaurant LONGLEAF doesn't have enough information/photos of food (and menu seems a little pretentious) and I am concerned it won't be worth the money & time,,, I also wanted to know if there are any good food trucks, concession stands, and/or restaurants that are worth going to in Piedmont Park - We plan on staying local in the earlier part of the day and traveling to Buckhead for the evening to shop & dine...
