The home of the Atlanta Shakespeare Company, the Shakespeare Tavern Playhouse on Peachtree Street has an enchanting history and a prime location in downtown Atlanta. We are a professional theatre with food and drinks available before each performance (and don't forget the apple crisp at intermission!)

Visited on a Friday night to see a performance of Much Ado About Nothing. The cast was exceptional - accomplished, seasoned, bright, and humorous. The meal selections were decent, about what one would expect in a bar/tavern environment. For those who have not been to...More

Loved the Shakespeare play, wonderful theater company and cast. Went with a group of teenagers and they loved it too. Casual atmosphere is great.

This is a pub that hosts Shakespeare plays. We saw Timon of Athens. It was a tremendous show. While we did not order food, many people were and it did look delicious.

The performance will be more memorable than the meal. But, when you arrive early for your meal, you get a better seat and time to just unwind and open up for the evening to come. The Shakespearean English can be a challenge in the early...More
