The docent who acted as the architect was wonderful. I felt we had a personalized tour of the house and his porcelain collection in the basement. The woman who acted as the owner's friend and decorator was interesting and she played the piano and sang while we were there. They made the whole visit to the Swan House worthwhile.

Today we decided to visit the Swan House located in Buckhead a beautiful leafy suburb of Atlanta . The Home once belonged to the Inman family of Neo Classical design . Whilst it has a very imposing impression from the outside with lovely grounds as you enter the house you have an immediate feel of warmth and love . It... More

Very cool place!!! They have actors there pretending to be the residents which was unique. This is President Snows house in the Hunger Games and were big fans so that was cool!! I highly recommend checking the house out from both the front and back because both views of it are incredible. We walked all the way to the bottom... More

How spectacular that the Swan House tour guides are interpreters who actually tell the story first person as if we were there together years ago! We spent hours listening to the wise architect, who stayed in character the full time, explaining his vision for the home, his relationship with the family, and then showed us his special collection of decorative... I've been here before, several years ago but on my most recent trip to Atlanta we went for a visit and it was so nicely decorated for Christmas. The volunteers and tour guides are so helpful with telling you about the history of the house. It's always nice to walk through history and support historical landmarks.

What a neat place! Beautiful mansion and landscaping. The house was decorated for that era, with an info pamphlet to tell you about each room. They had the Capitol tour which was a bit more, and would tell you about which parts of the house were used in Hunger Games. I didn't realize this until after our tour. But all... More

The Swan House admission is included as part of the Atlanta Historical Museum tour. We spent about 90 minutes viewing the 4 floors of this structure and the outdoor grounds. There are several docents dressed in period clothing who can answer questions. There is also a collection of period china housed in the basement (donated by the architect who designed... More

I love tours of old residences and whenever I travel I pick these types of things. This was more detailed and less seemed roped off than other old mansions or residences I've toured. Unfortunately I got there about 20 minutes before closing so I didn't get to spend as much time as I wanted to, but it was still great.

I've wanted to see Swan House since I saw it was used in the Hunger Games. We didn't have long as we were coming into town for something else but we purchased the Capitol Tour option. The ticket includes tickets to a whole little historical area with lots of little houses. We mostly only had time to see the house... More
