My husband and his family grew up in this church they even started the church… With grandfather being the minister of music for a time so it has a lot of history in our family and in Atlanta. It is a gorgeous church has unbelievable own sound quality for music shows. It also should be valued just as a beautiful... More

A great place to see a show. The sound inside was amazing. There were several different bars throughout the venue so you did not get stuck at one. They advertised Pepsi but served RC Cola in a can so I passed on it since it was 4 dollars. There was a parking lot right across the street that will boot... More

If you like to stay and I recommend going to the floor. The balcony seats were tight and uncomfortable. No leg room and the floor shook like it was going to Tumble down at any minute. While the sound was probably the best I've encountered in a concert venue they could do a better job. My friend and I paid... More

This place is an amazing venue with not a bad seat in the house. Staff has been friendly each time I've been here. I scour their events calendar when I know I'm going to be in Atlanta to see any show I can catch because it's a small, intimate theater with tons of old school charm.

I recently visited Atlanta for a 3 night run of concerts at the Tabernacle. I heard so many awesome things about this venue and it more or less met my very high expectations. The sound at the venue was very good. Umphrey's McGee tends to sound awesome everywhere, but you could tell the place was built for sound. I mostly... More

First activated around the time of the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games, this was originally "The Baptist Tabernacle," an active congregation in this building of up to 3,000 families dating back to the 1910s. The congregation mostly left in the 1950s-1960s. The building could never be built today, because the seats are so steeply pitched. But it results in great sight... More

This is a great venue for a concert. The last one we saw was Willie Nelson. There's no such thing as a bad seat. However, I did have to ask the couple sitting next to us to take their lovers argument outside (they did once I stood up). It's too bad people drink too much while in public. If you... More

A great place to catch a concert, the old church has decent acoustics and is rarely that pricey for a show.

This is a fantastic place to see a show, but most of the tickets are standing general admission and I am too old for that! If you like to stand and dance for a two hour concert this is a great place otherwise you have to get in on a pre-sale to get any of the few balcony seats.

Thank Steven B
