- SouthernMama2Athens, Georgia260 contributionsQuick VisitI’ve always wanted to visit the CFHOF and I was not disappointed. The interactive screens were a nice touch—as they were connected to the badges we acquired upon entering—and made for a much more personalized experience. I enjoyed walking through the exhibits and being able to see the various trophies and memorabilia on display. The gift shop left a bit to be desired—better merch needs to be researched as the current selections leave a LOT to be desired—but the rest of our visit brokered no complaints. I would suggest parking in the Green Deck—which is attached to the facility—as the off-site parking is just as much (during non “early bird” hours) and a bit inconvenient if you’re attempting to maximize your time in the HOF. Overall, a great time was had and I highly recommend visiting if you’re a college football fan!Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten October 29, 2023
- DrJimmy33982Fort Myers, Florida96 contributionsGreat Experience. Highly RecommendedA lot of history here. Very inspirational for my middle-school son who wants to play college ball. Great location across from Olympic Park. Gift shop is pretty good, too (although a little too heavy with UGA stuff, if you ask me!). Lots of trophies on display and many, many interactive exhibits. Good value, being part of the ATL CityPass. A must do, while in ATL.Visited December 2023Travelled with familyWritten December 20, 2023

- Tamara MAtlanta, Georgia1,268 contributionsGreat museum for college football and non-football fans alikeSo, I am going to start this off by saying I am not a football fan even a little bit, but my husband really enjoys college football. I am however a big fan of museums and can generally find something to like no matter the topic. I was hooked from the moment we walked in. The staff were extremely welcoming and then everything is just so well presented. It was such an interesting museum for me, a non-football fan, but for someone like my husband or those who are really big college football fans, I would imagine it would really be a great visit. We had a great time and would highly recommend a visit whether you are a football fan or not. There is a ton to see and it is really well planned out. Great gift shop and area for the kids to try out their football skills at the end too.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten April 6, 2024
- Mary SCleveland, Ohio160 contributionsVery Interactive and EntertainingWe were able to get discounted tickets through Groupon that included parking next door. The hall of fame was very interactive and entertaining and had options to select your school upon entrance. You were then able to scan it at the different exhibits to find out about your school's facts and players who were inducted. There were also areas where you can test your vertical jump, 40 yard dash, and try kicking field goals as well.Visited April 2024Travelled with friendsWritten April 15, 2024

You really don’t need more than an hour. They give you a lanyard card and you use it to interact with different features. I didn’t really like using it and it felt like a waste. There are kiosks where you were supposed to register it but no one showed me. And then it shows your favorite team at different computer screens. The displays are quite good. However, I felt that the $28 price was simply too much. A bigger Museum is needed for this expensive price.
As a solo adult with patience two hours was more than enough time.
I really liked the big movie at the start, it’s more of an emotional movie and not really a movie with a lot of information. Still I love college football, so it was great.
The highlights are the wall of helmets right when you go in and the movie. There are a number of historical displays I liked too.
At the third-floor, they have kiosks where you can interact and learn about all the actual Hall of Fame members. I did not like this. No one wants to stand in front of a computer kiosk when they visit a museum like this. That being said, I don’t know how they would depict or portray the hundreds of Hall of Fame members. I really was more interested in this as a Hall of Fame, so to speak. However, it’s really more of a shrine to the notion of college football rather than a place to learn about the individual inductees to this Hall of Fame.

First impressions are spot on when you first walk in and see the amazing wall of helmets from every team and division in college football. Naturally you have to find your favorite team up on the wall before you can move on. It was great looking at some of the the old memorabilia, quite frankly I thought they would have more. You’ve seen great players and coaches holding up the trophies and gives you a good feeling of awe when you are standing right in front of them. But make no mistake this is not just a history museum of sorts. Get a truly hands on experience with many interactive activities. Be a virtual GameDay announcer, try kicking a 10 yd FG yourself, throw passes in a virtual reality game room. They have all sorts of fun things to do that really make this place worth the visit you will be telling your friends about.

I have to honestly say that my expectation was really low when entering this place. After all my wife and I does not care about college football. We could not even tell the reception desk which college team we want to pick. However with my understanding of this game, I managed to find a number of fun things to do when inside for a couple of hours. Besides the exhibit of those college coaches, players and trophies, I found the TV game-day broadcast and the computerized football play stuffs well worth my time. If you are into more physical stuffs, there is a football field where I can see people choosing interesting plays as well. I ended up leaving the place understanding the game better than before, and that I consider a trip worth taking. If you have a couple of hours left in your Atlanta trip, I would recommend you to pay this place a visit.

My husband loves college football especially watching Michigan play. We spent over 2 hours interacting with the football displays of national champions and historic gear. He even put on Michigan game face and I heard my college fight song karaoke style for the first time. He definitely was happy to experience it all!

Remember those kids who wouldn’t let you play with the ball? Well, they grew up and work here now and have a second chance to play keep away and not let you kick or throw the ball. I seriously thought we had outgrown this bit as an adult just had it happen again. Just kept calling people back to take more turns to avoid letting my husband and I try, Do better and hire some adults who let everyone play! Thought we had moved past this after high school.

I was completely surprised that the CFHF was relocated to Atlanta GA. The attendants and employees were very helpful and knowledgeable. It was fun to go down memory lane and refresh my memory of all of the College Football History. Highly recommended.

We went when it first opened and during the week to avoid crowds. It was a great experience. You get a badge where you program your favorite team, when you walk around you can scan your badge and it will display information about your team. Plenty for all ages. At the end you can throw a pass into a net for accuracy and try to kick a field goal.

Buying tickets on Groupon that come with parking for the green deck. Can I leave my car there after our visit to the HOF while we visit the aquarium?
Written June 20, 2019
Yeah you can, you just can't stay overnight. So you'll be good to go there.

Is it fun for people who don't know a lot about football?
Written May 14, 2019
Not as fun as for those who like the sport, but I recommend it for sure. I followed my boyfriend, and even not knowing everything about NFL was worth it

How long should we allow to tour the Hall of Fame? We are planning to go this Saturday afternoon.
Thanks!
Written August 18, 2016
We spent about 3 hours there on a very slow weekday, but we are football geeks!
Written August 19, 2016
I was looking to get tickets on line and saw that a "time" is listed. As we are a group of 6 we are not sure exactly what time we all want to meet up. Can I just buy tickets when I get to the College Football Hall of Fame? What would be the advantage to buying my ticket on line?
Written July 3, 2016
You can purchase tickets when you arrive. The times are used to help crowd control because it is a self walking tour. I recommend visiting on a weekday because it is not as busy as the weekend. Also, if there isn't any football games in town - you might not have as much of a tourist crowd. Hope this helps! I try not to lead "Plantationer" wrong being a former resident of Plantation myself. It is a whole lot of fun!

There's a covered parking garage adjoined to the College Football Hall of Fame and Chick-Fil-A restaurant that charges $3 for the first hour and $1 per hour thereafter.
I parked in this garage, visited the Hall of Fame, ate lunch at Chick-Fil-A, walked a block or two and visited the Georgia Aquarium, then returned to parking garage. It was a cheaper ($2), cooler, and more secure option for me compared to driving from one parking lot to another and paying a premium for parking the first hour at another lot.

nabenom reviews the college HOF as mediocre, and says not up to Pro Standards.
It is obvious he or she has never visited the Pro Football of Fame in Canton, Ohio.
That one is the real underwhelming and disappointing exhibit. This College HOF
is hands down the best football exhibit in the world. Let alone the USA.
Written October 9, 2015
Thanks Bill for reviewing my review! Is that a backhanded way of saying you enjoyed the college football hall of fame more than I did?
Written October 9, 2015
How long do you need for a complete tour of the hall of fame
Written August 4, 2015
It depends upon how much time is spent in the play area. It takes about an hour to go thru the exhibits and take in the movie. The hall is not that big. There are three floors. It also depends upon how crowded it is. I would allow at least two hours total....you could spend more time if you wanted.
