We didn't do the guided tour into this ruin as it wasn't being offered at the time of our visit, but it can be easily seen from the marked overlook area. Bring binoculars for the best view. It's amazing to see how these ancient people lived and the site is very well preserved!

We had to drive to get to this cave dwelling but we stopped along the way to look at all the different views.

This is an exceptional tour. You can either take a short tour with a guide or walk it yourself. This is very high off the canyon.

Stop at the Visitor's Center to book your tours as soon as you arrive in Mesa Verde National Park. They fill up fast. Bring water but no food or snacks. The trek took 2 1/2 hours. Our Park Ranger, Larry was VERY knowledgeable and interesting. Everything is so spread out. If you are staying at the campground, plan for a... More

Our family visited Mesa Verde National Park in early October and were fortunate enough to take the Long House tour. The day we arrived in the park all the tours for Long House had sold out so we bought tickets for the next day. We had initially hoped to see all of Mesa Verde in one day but the spread... More

Our tour was absolutely perfect, our guide was very knowledgable. About a 2.5 mile hike, pretty easy hike. After the tour there are many other trails to explore. There is a covered picnic area and bathrooms near the gate of the tour.

This site is very interesting and stunning. The path is down and the ladder up the cliffs are easy manageable.

Pictures you may have seen, or even TV documentary's - simply can not compare to actually seeing and walking among these ruins. This is only available as a "Ranger Led" tour - a whopping $4 per person (LOL). This is to preserve the ruins since you are actually walking and climbing thru them. It is a 1 mile hike down... More

What an experience, we are so glad that we took this tour. Our tour guide was great and very knowledgeable. We would recommend this to anyone who has nay interest in the ancestral Pueblo people and how they lived and where and how they built their communities. The construction of the pueblos is incredible when you think about what they... More

I was concerned about climbing the ladders, but I'm so glad we did this tour. The ladders were easy, but HOT to the touch. However, this tour gave us insight into how the people lived in these dwellings. This was great tour!
