We enjoyed this tour very much! The tour guides were knowledgeable and imparted the information in an informal, entertaining manner. The house is completely furnished with the original furniture except for one room (that furniture you will find set up as it would have been...More

Combine this tour with that of the Concord Museum for a cost savings. Fascinating place with very knowledgeable tour guides. Such a sense of history.

The Emerson House is well-preserved. Tour guides are extraordinarily well-versed in the history of the home as well as the Emerson family's lives.....a fantastic and quaint stop if you're in Concord. As our group of teens took several tours during our stay in the Boston...More

This museum was a favorite. A nice break from all the military history in Concord. The museum guides know their subject well and the tour is far more interesting than I imagined it would be. Plan for 45 minutes.

Through the guided tour, you find out a great deal more about Emerson than you learn in school. The art work and artifacts are also intriguing.

Every visitor I send to the Emerson House enjoys the tour. This is one of the main features of Concord.

For Emerson fans there are much better venues, including his actual study at the Concord museum. The house is privately owned and crumbling before your eyes, literally, the walls woodwork and furnishings are crazed, cracked and emitting smells that are unwholesome. That such a place...More
