Lovely little secluded village with a pebble beach. Ideal for swimming and a leisurely lunch in one of the Bars. The coastal walks either way give you stupendous views and a real understanding of the local coastline. Book restaurants in the summer!

Beautiful beach with cafes.I went in August - get there early if you want to park. The beaches are very busy in August - we went early for a swim then left as the hordes arrived.

Loved this little beach cove! Not too busy in Sept. and great meal at Hotel Sa Tuna for lunch. Lovely and scenic walk along path to Auigafreda.

We looked at staying on the Costa Brava during our trip to Spain/France but settled for a day trip due to the cost of accommodations. We spent the afternoon at this beach. It was a little busy but not bad. I wished I had had...More

I still give this beach 5 stars even though my kids didn’t love the rocks. It’s stunning. It was packed at even 6 pm with kids and families. The water is magical and the views are spectacular. But it’s not a place you’d want to...More

The beach gets fairly busy but no more so than any other in the region. It is small and you have to drive unless you're staying very near by. The village is lovely and the restaurants ok, but the water is very clear.

We really loved this small beach. Found lots of sea glass. It's small. Not too crowded in mid-July. Has a few restaurants and small shops. Found parking easily.

The beach can get very crowded so if you arrive by car, park on the streets above the beach and walk down to the beach. The surroundings are lovely and the beach is great both for swimming and snorkeling.

This is an oasis of calm on the Costa Brava. There are no funny hats or beer swilling tourists here, just a beautiful pebbly beach, clear water, some rocks for the kids to climb, and a handful of restaurants serving local seafood and Spanish dishes...More

We went here for one day and, to be fair, it was rather wet weather. However, I felt a bit closed in by the quite small bay which has no easily accessible beach other than a pebble one at the front. Prices were noticably higher...More

Surely there is a train or a coach/bus from Barcelona to girona? And then a bus to Palafrugel or even begur?

From Glasgow, you would need to fly to Barcelona, rent a car & drive to Plage de Sa Tuna. It's about a 2 hour drive more or less. Sa Tuna is in Begur which is part of Costa Brava.
