Stunning 12th-century Romanesque bridge over the Fluvià river with a gateway at its midpoint. After walking across it enjoy a meal in one of the restaurants or cafes that overlook it - we really enjoyed the flood-lit view from Pont Vell restaurant.

A must site for all people traveling in the area. The bridge and the old city old Besalu are beautiful and kept very clean.

Park in the car park at the other side of the old bridge and walk along it into the town. Great views of the town and the river as you walk over the bridge.

I watched as people walked across the bridge into the charming village of Besalu, snapping (cameras) and chatting as they walked. Just stop for a moment and walk down the steps to the river bed and look up - fantastic!

The bridge as well as the town is very stunning. We read some reviews and decided to take a break from Costa Brava beaches and it was well with the trip. But a big warning, most of the nice restaurants need reservations to get a...More

This village is a must see. Very pretty and a beauty to photograph. There are numerous restaurants and cafes, with little gift shops - a peaceful feel to this sleepy wonder.
