The old town of Plasencia is quaint, but there are not very many buildings of interest to visit. The Cathedral is an exception. It is worth a visit, so do go there.

One of the more beautiful ones in the region. Huge altarpiece. Woodden choir. Rich treasury with silver and golden artifacts. Old town with nice square. We stayed at the parador-hotel, a former convent!

Beautiful old town . All easily walked, with plenty of restaurants and cafes to eat or people watch. Lots to see

Not a great deal to see apart from the old and new cathedrals, which are a must see, but the town is very safe and pleasant to explore the various back streets. There are a couple of quirky museums (textile museum and hunting museum )...More

Old town well worth a visit, with imposing cathedral and narrow alley ways . If you park down by the river you can take a escalator up to the old town as it is quite steep.

We really enjoyed Plasencia. It has a lovely old town, lots of sights, bars and restaurants. The Parador is spectacular and I highly recommend staying there!! One night is probably enough but it's definitely a nice stop over destination. Visit Plaza Mayor and watch the...More

Plasencia is filled with narrow streets replete with history. There are plaques on several streets in front of many buildings with the names of Jewish people who lived there 400 to 500 years ago. That was very touching considering the fact that many of the...More

Plasencia is good but doesnt show Extremadura like Trujillo or Cáceres. interesting town if you go to Extremadura. not necessary but why not) good sea-food paella in the center square! remember that all castles in this region have break-time and aren't opened 13-17, depends on...More
