This is a great place to visit anytime but it most fun during the Christmas season. I took my grandson and his parents there and we were able to enjoy a couple of hours of keeping my grandson busy. There is so much to see...More

This permanent display is amazing in its detail and variety. The reasons for 4 marks instead of 5 is that the toilets needed a serious cleaning, a lot of trains weren't running, and the place is showing its age. Still, if you're in the area...More

The Roads and Rails Museum is a hidden-gem in the Shab Row area of Frederick. They have a "play-along" activity which has you searching their displays for characters which is great for kids! Highly entertaining for the entire family.

I do not usually care for railroad things, went for my husband who loves them. This was awesome, the display was very interesting and well done. Would definitely go back with kids, as the children there were having a blast. The Lego room was great.

This place is a blast. They have an awesome display. You need to walk around the whole thing many times though to see all the hidden in plain site type of things. They have buttons at kid level to make parts of the display animated....More

Talk about a cool treasure hunt! This place is great, with huge dioramas that someone spent a lot of time on. You can find all sorts of little Easter Eggs in the different displays. Very cool! Also, check out their entrance for a large selection...More

I visited this Museum with my 78 year old dad. He was like a kid in a candy store with excitement. There were so many miniature trains in various, detailed scenarios. Kudos to the staff that puts it together and maintains it. We also enjoyed...More
