When between activities in Frederick, we stopped in at Baker Park to chill out. Found a nice bench by the creek,, watched the ducks and passersby, all very nice. Good place to take a break (weather permitting, of course). And there are port-a-johns (by the tennis court, not far from the bell tower)

This park is has so many activities and things to do. It is so large that it makes a perfect walking area. The soccer fields and tennis courts are all maintained. The playground equipment is also top notch. I have been there for the March of Dimes walk which was lovely. The only complaint is that there are no restroom... More

We like to take our visiting grandchildren to Baker Park. There are covered individual picnic tables; on busy days you would need to get there early to get one though. The playground is great for younger kids & plenty of open grassy areas to play. The stream goes through the park so we always take bread along to feed the... More

It is a wonderful park that is being upgraded and will soon have a lake added. It's in a great part of town in the historical district and has paths to walk on and plenty of places for kids to play as well as a pool. It also has the big clock and amphitheater so you can listen to music... More

Baker Park is found in the middle of Frederick. There are ball fields, tennis courts , children's playgrounds, an outdoor bandstand, a bell tower, etc. During the summer months, people gather on Sunday evenings for a wide variety of wonderful concerts.

I've lived in Frederick over 10 years and enjoyed all Baker Park has to offer. I've never felt like it wasn't a safe place to come walking alone or to take my kids to its pool or many play areas. At times the duck pond has needed cleaning or the creek has flooded over the paths, but soon those things... More

We found this park whilst walking along the Historic Frederick trail around the city. This expansive park has many attractions: - a play areas for kids (swings, climbing bars); - a serene fountain; - a large clock tower (circa 1990s); - a river walk; - an amphitheater; - a fitness center (located under the National Guard building); - and a... A great linear park in beautiful Frederick, Md. We walk the park often and will go all the way to Carol Creek which is beautiful this time of year with the water lilies blooming.
