This house is privately owned and currently has new owners. The previous owners opened the house on some weekends to allow people to tour it but the new owners are not doing this thus far. The sign is down that once hung from the front...More

This is not the original house, but a re-creation of part of the house, as the original washed away in a flood. It's a pretty good remake, and used parts of the original house like the floor boards, although part of it is in disrepair...More

Although many felt this was a fun place to go, I found the décor and food average, at best. The tables and chairs felt very banquet-ish and the food was just okay. Don't plan to go back.

My daughter and I visited here during a Christmas open house. Very interesting to see how people lived at a different period in our history.

Good food, ample portions. A local bartender told me it is a very popular place to eat. Staff very nice.
