Each time I go to downtown Frederick I find new little spots to enjoy. The shop owners are friendly and give good information about the area and restaurants. Going during the week the town is not busy so the shops are not crowded. Fun place...More

Downtown Frederick Maryland has to be one of the most beautiful places I have seen and I am happy to get to take a stroll there often.

Love downtown Frederick. Trying to make it down more often. There are ample eateries and Carroll Creek is lovely for a walk.

Lots of people from outside of Frederick visit. I like to compare it to 30 years ago at Georgetown. People walking in the downtown area, lots of restaurants, shops, pretty walk along the creek, several parking alternatives and just a very nice place to visit.

Recently took friends to downtown and even though we spent most of the day, we didn't begin to see everything. We did Carroll Creek, checked out the library especially the children's room and the Wizard quilt. Only had time to shop a few stores on...More

There are some by the creek, but don’t recall any in the shopping area. You can always grab a cup of coffee in the many coffee shops and sit down. If you go, enjoy!

Are you talking about Frederick, Maryland? There are no casinos in Frederic. Perhaps you are thinking of Charlestown. White Water rafting is also elsewhere. But the above answers re: Frederick itself are accurate.

It is roughly 40 miles. Frederick is North on Rt 270. On week days, this can take 1.5 to 2 hours and longer if the weather is bad. On a weekend morning, it can take less than an hour if you can get out of DC quickly enough.
