Beautiful view of Miditerrean

Peniscola is a small resort town with beautiful beaches and view of Miditerranean Sea. The castle on top of the Rock has the best view.

The castle itself had a few exhibits inside but, the real treat is on the roof. The 360 degree views from the top of the castle are what you go for. Also, be mindful of the wind.

Well worth a walk round even if your like me and get bored with castles and ruins quickly. The views are great, theres some interesting history and on a sunny day there are some nice spots to sit and relax.

Cozy, quaint, tiny and beautiful city inside the castle walls, a lot of small shops and very good restaurants and bars. Beautiful decorated with flowers and plants

I wasn't expecting much as this was a stop that we planned along the way driving up to Barcelona but I was amazed by the view from the top. We allocated an hour at this location to stretch our legs and ended up spending more than 2 hours walking and taking photos in this castle. We would come back again... More

This Castle is one of the most interesting I have visited in a long time. The castle has been sympathetically restored and there are lots of interactive displays to enjoy explaining the history of the castle which made the visit all the more enjoyable. The visit can be quite physical in places so come prepared. A must see .

Amazing way to step back a few hundred years. Touring inside and the outside park and garden can easily take 4 to 5 hours. Cost is 5 euros. Great history lesson for adults and kids. Unmatched views of the sea, city and mountains. Strolling along the streets of the historic old town surrounding the castle is also cool. A full... More

Don't miss it! I takes only a couple of hours to tour the inside, and costs only five euros. The grounds around the perimeter are lovely too, the church of the virgin is free and accessible from outside, but wandering within the castle is a must. The public bus runs every thirty minutes from Benicarlo and Vicaros with convenient stops... More
