It is hard to believe that this is a county park. The flower gardens are just beautiful. Each garden has it’s own theme, annual, rock, rose, etc. In addition, there are walking paths around the whole arboretum to help you to enjoy nature.

We went in the fall and most things were dead. Would have been in testing in the spring. Could see that most areas were well taken care of.

Took my grandparents here to hang out in the shade and look at the gardens. It is a really beautiful place and it's handicap accessible, which is nice.

The plantings and walkways are amazing with fountains and Vistas. We like to pretend the Mansion is our home. We had a spiritual practice walking the Labyrinth. You will have a good time here and feel very happy you came

Long ago when they had a wonderful gift shop here, I volunteered and worked in it. Too bad they didn't open Matilda's in the other building and keep the gift shop, but oh well. Went here early just to take a little walk and look...More

At 127 acres, The Frelinghuysen Arboretum is great stop while in Morristown. If you're interested in woodlands, meadows, gardens, trees and shrubs in a beautiful setting, here's the place. Cell phone tours are offered seasonally. Enjoy!

The grounds were so well kept. There are lovely walking trails throughout the property. Some were very flat and easy to walk, others, hilly and a little more challenging. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. I met some friends here for a lovely walk and...More

The entrance is on East Hanover Avenue, slightly East of and across the street from the Morris County Library. It is well marked. Hope you enjoy your visit.
