I first saw this monument 62 years ago. It never fails to choke me up when I see it. If you do nothing else while you are in the Blackhills, make sure you see this.

Absolutely breathtaking. Cannot begin to express how this impressed me. Went back to see the lighting at night, and with a storm approaching, it was not the best experience. Truly felt the daytime view is better.

We all enjoyed our stay. Parking is easy. $10 to get in and is good for a year in case you want to visit during the day and come back at night for the light show. We decided not to, we were exhausted from our...More

Easy access in and out. Short walk to the actual memorial. Parking is close by. Worth the admission fee of 10.00

This was worth the effort to get to see this monument; amazing. We had seen photos of this, but it is much better in person.

Have always wanted to see this American icon. Being from MA and now VA have never traveled to this part of our great country. It was truly worth the visit. Getting to Mt Rushmore is a hoot. Iron Mountain Rd is a series of winding,...More

Either Keystone or Rapid City. Keystone is closest to Mt Rushmore and Custer - you will have more of a drive to Badlands but mostly on interstate
