Melrose was one of my top two (out of 4) Antebellum home tours we took in Natchez. Our tour guide was incredibly informative and very entertaining. This tour is best paid for on sight and is not as pricey as some of the other homes...More

Natchez is a quaint community and the NHP is a must stop! Great interpretation of the antebellum homes of the south! Very informative visitors Center! What is also great is that the Natchez parkway starts here and goes all the way to Nashville

I loved this place! So much history and the guide was fabulous! We wanted to go to all of the homes but time and money constraints made us decide to just check out this one, which is run by the National Park Service. That was...More

The Natchez National Historical Park will give you a taste of the local area in ante bellum and post-Civil War Mississippi. The great house tour is outstanding. The Park Rangers are very knowledgeable and youngster-friendly. Walk the grounds and take lots of pics.

There is nothing to see at this location except an antebellum home -- and that is available only through guided tours. The last tour of the day begins at 3:00. We got there later and found nothing to see or do. Go if you want...More

Went to visit this site to check another place off in our National Park Passport. We didn't do a guided tour of either location but we explored the Melrose Plantation on our own. It was my first time visiting a Southern plantation but was everything...More
