Wonderful old house, full of antiques with very informative people running the museum. Like all the other houses of this type in Canada, very well presented and manned.

We appreciated the tour of the premises. Very knowledgable staff who showed us both the lifestyle of the former residents of the home, and the previous occupation of different nations in Placentia.

Out walking one afternoon we just stumbled on this museum near our B&B. It is well worth making a special effort to get here.

It shows us royal relics, period artifacts, and exhibits. A House Divided (the resettlement of inner Placentia Bay) plus Basque headstone and copy of oldest original civil document from Canada. There are guided Museum Tours.
