We met up with Peter and his colleague on the last day of our vacation on the South Shore. Our time on the water was the highlight of our trip. All we had to do was show up. Literally - just show up! Everything we could possibly need was taken care of and the guides were more than accommodating for our group of 5. Peter knew exactly where to go on the lake and when to switch things up. The gear and the boat were safe, professional and extremely clean. Everyone had lots of fun catching smallmouth bass. My husband has been fishing since he was a kid and enjoyed learning some tips and new techniques. My teenagers had a blast with a friendly little competition - who would catch the most. I 100% recommend this activity for anyone.

I always enjoy fishing with the youth and it is great fun when I can include another guide and have a little competition. Thanks for the day and the review. Peterlavender.ca

We took a fishing trip with Peter on Ponhook Lake in July. It was a fantastic experience and will be remembered as a highlight of our trip. Peter is very informative, friendly and accommodating. He has all the required equipment and his boat is comfortable, fast and made the trip even more enjoyable. Peter is a "fish whisperer" - we would make a cast and he would say splash and a bass would take the lure. We learned a lot of tips to use in the future. We would definitely recommend any one to hire Peter for a family time or just a great day on the water. It is something that you can do more than once. Thank you, Peter.

Peter is a great small mouth bass guide in the western Nova Scotia area. Peter is personable and fun to be with, on top of being a serious, knowledgeable fisherman. He knows all the lakes and has a state-of-the-art bass boat - fast, stable, and well equipped. We have gone singly and as a couple and have enjoyed both experiences. Extremely reasonable rates too.

A laid back day on a beautiful lake with a guide who cares about his clients, the environment and the future of eco-tourism (including fishing). Doesn’t matter if you’re a novice or expert, Peter will make sure you enjoy yourself. Everyone, including women and children, will feel comfortable on his boat. We caught and released very small “small mouth” bass. Lots of fun!

We recently spent an afternoon with Peter on the lake fishing. What a fabulous time! Great family adventure. Peter was wonderfully informative, educational, great fun and positive. It was as any fishing trip should be - successful in the catch, relaxing, easy going, great humoured and full of fond memories. A must do if you’re in the Liverpool area.
