Loved this place. My wife and I love to check out unusual and quirky attractions when we travel. This place is both. It's basically a museum loaded with a variety of fun and off-beat displays. There is a huge room full of taxidermied animals, complete with sound effects. There are rooms dedicated to trappers and settlers from days gone by,... More

You drive into what looks like a prison yard...then we got turned away 45 minutes before they closed becauses they don't take credit or debit...no cash on hand. The place was pretty much dead, I see no reason why they didn't suggest we enjoy the shanty town outside at our leisure or even take a quick walk through that close... More

I am lucky enough to be working at the wonderful RCC this summer! Within the first few weeks I have already seen so many smiles and learned so many incredible things here at the museum!

What a pleasant surprise on a rainy day in Liverpool, NS. Anyone who travels to this area should take the time to visit this museum, in July it is free. We took our young grandson and his parents and while the youngster was enthralled with the animal displays, especially the lion, giraffe an polar bear, there were many other very... More

......so we returned to our car! I am sorry we missed touring it but if you want to be welcoming, don't allow the woman working there to smoke anywhere near the building!

We had read the reviews that said that this place is a "must see" and we totally agree. It is composed of different rooms housing different artifacts. The admission was only $4.00 per person and it was better than many smaller museums that charged the same amount. There is a photography mini museum, an outhouse museum, and a whole room... More

Cheap (5$), old-style museum with lots to see. From collections of knives and tools, to amazing stuffed animals from all over the world, there are also amazing photographs, artifacts, log cabins, tee-pees, and, most surprising an out-house museum section! Well worth the detour.

We truly had no idea what an amazing collection we would find at the Rossignol Cultural Center in Liverpool NS. Sherman Hines, over his lifetime, has amassed a wonderful collection of artifacts, art, and photography, reflecting his love of his native Nova Scotia. This museum, created by a number of dedicated volunteers and sponsors, including. Mr. Hines, rivals any of... More

Don't miss the Cultural Center, it is a pleasant surprise and well worth the effort. Plan at least an hour. Great morning with the Trestle Walk, over the Mersey River, and then to the Culture Center. We are staying at Lane's Privateer Inn which is very central. Loved the outhouse display!
