Off the cruise ship, we exited the terminal grounds through the gate. A gentleman asked us what we wanted to do and we told him our dream was to ride an open air motorized rickshaw to see all of the sights in Cienfuegos. He directed...More

Well... it's nice and quaint enough but definitively not worth a separate trip from Havana. We walked around for a few hours -- it's interesting to see the government "stores" and how people really conduct their daily life.

This square has enough trees to provide shade to comfortable benches. Cubans of various classes, including a boxer in bright orange singlet, shorts, shoes and gloves came through shadow boxing and jogging adding to the passing scene. The square is surrounded by the Cathedral, a...More

We stayed here as a stopover on our tour. A walking tour showed us that this place now seems to survive on the tourist $$. So so many street sellers, all selling what appeared to mass produced "one of a kind" souvenirs. Looking past this,...More

Main street (probably the only street) for shopping. on side streets, there are street vendors selling souvenirs. More specialty stores of everyday items than art/souvenir shops, but still a nice walk on a sunny day.
