We stayed here as a stopover on our tour. A walking tour showed us that this place now seems to survive on the tourist $$. So so many street sellers, all selling what appeared to mass produced "one of a kind" souvenirs. Looking past this,...More

Main street (probably the only street) for shopping. on side streets, there are street vendors selling souvenirs. More specialty stores of everyday items than art/souvenir shops, but still a nice walk on a sunny day.

Not as busy and bustling as big Havana or Santiago de Cuba, this city breathes a relaxed vibe. Muy tranquilo! Buildings mostly have hidden treasures in the small court yard: art galleries, expositions, the story of a local. Do not hesitate to have a peak!

It's all here. Jose Marti Plaza is a gathering place for both locals and visitors alike. The traffic flows one way only to make crossing safer. Tour buses are not permitted here, so the park has an overall clean, neat and well manicured appearance. The...More

Certainly spending time in the Plaza Jose Marti is worthwhile. It's large and beautiful and surrounded by some of the nicest architecture in all of Cuba. You already know about most of the best sites but I also recommend the... More
