There are some trails to enjoy the view of the iceberg fjord from Ilulissat. Our favourite is the yellow trail whicj gives you stunning views of this unique icy landscape. In August we saw whales from the cliffs. They were feeding just a few hundred...More

I flew to Ilulissat specifically to see the Icefjord. On the flight from Kangerlussuaq to Ilulissat the plane route crosses the Icefjord, and as the plane flies low (4,500 m) it can be perfectly seen. The only trouble is to get a place near the...More

Stunning place. So unusual and would appeal to those who like nature, such as Whales, Dolphins and Seals. There is also plenty of bird life too. The icebergs are enormous. A trip amongst the icebergs is an absolute must.

We (two adults in their fifites, two youngsters late teens/early twenties) kayaked around icebergs in the late evening. The training was very thorough, and safety was never compromised. The kayaking required some energy, but it was not too demanding. It was wonderful to get so...More

The evening tour (2100-2400) of the ice fjord was amazing...we saw calving glaciers, humpback whales, and an amazing sunset (well, as much as it sets during late summer). I was blown away by the beauty of this tour.

An absolutely amazing place especially on a bright sunny day. Kept us all captivated. We did a midnight cruise and walked the yellow trail as well. Saw whales both days

Midnight tour among the icebergs is a treat, such a wonderful experience I will never forget. No matter how many icebergs you've seen, do this.

Absolutely mind-blowing views; there are many trails to the icefjord. If you are there in the summer, take bug protection!

When you stand in front of such beautiful Creation, you remember how small we are and how insignificant most of our daily concerns, beyond basic needs, and conflicts are. I felt blessed to have this opportunity to see this amazing Creation, and it's the first...More

People travel to Ilulissat on the west coast of Greenland to visit this amazing Unesco site. Giant icebergs are trapped in the Icefjord until they melt or break up. An amazing sight

I am not sure which boat you will be on, but it could be a fisherman's boat. When we were there we had to climb down a latter to get on board. So it could be a bit tricky for you.

I booked flights, accommodation and day trips by myself. It is easy to arrange. The time I went last year, only AirGreenland operated from Copenhagen to Greenland. There were 3 tour companies in Iluslissat and a few... More
