My first time on a nude beach. Was uncomfortable for like 5 seconds. Great beach, nice people, but obviosly not for everyone. Glad I went for 3 straight days, and would certainly go back when returning to Maui.

A very nice beach down a road that ends in a volcanic landscape at a state park with lovely water views. Little Beach seems a spot for locals and hmm, I believe that is Maui wowie in the air. Why not?

From what we have heard and seen clothing is optional. Not very many young people there. Mostly an older crowd...

The hike up and over the cliff wasn't too bad, but having to go down it in the dark while the tide had come in took almost an hour of waiting in a LONG line. The beach itself is gorgeous, and everyone was super friendly. Great spot to meet some locals (although not all of them are happy about tourists... More

Wish it were more of the 'secret beach' it was when I first starting going 20 years ago - dirt roads and all - It still is one of the prettiest beaches in all of south Maui - I love the demographic breakdown and the clothing optional portion (though not legal) - great wave riding and lots of flora and... Love the laid backness of the place.no-clothes option has appeal. Be a strong swimmer if you choose to swim/snorkel/boobieboard here. Sun heat gets pretty relentless after noon - an umbrella is practically necessary if you want to stay a few hours and not fry. The Sunday afternoon (4pm?! Onward) drumming/dancing is a fun time. Big crowd of 20-30 something, up... More

This was a surprise to find this beach... Yes it is small but it has much. To watch the sea turtle surf iin the waves was amazing sight. We never paid attention to the waves till we notices the turtles. Be mindful of the beach. What youu find there has to stay there. Park rangers make sure of that. What... More

In our 7 trips to Maui, this is the first time we have visited Little Beach. We have always been a bit hesitant to go with our sons but they are now teenagers and they aren't bothered by the nudity. They absolutely love this beach for boogie boarding. In the past, we have always gone to Big Beach but the... More

Beautiful little beach. It is clothes optional so is not appropriate if you are not comfortable with that. We access it from Makena and you need to climb up and over a rocky hill to get to it.

As always, TripAdvisor reviewers get it right. Read reviews back a year, and you'll get a good sense of Little Beach. On the day we went to the beach, it was overcast, with intermittent sprinkles (clouds rolling off of Haleakala). There was an eclectic mix of visitors. There was a group of surfers (half nude, half suited) enjoying the waves... More
