Very beautifull beach, in the other side of the island. To go there you must take a boat ot a 4x4 , cross all the Park and arrive in this increadible place. No eletricity, no celulat phone, no internet. It is a small village with local fisherman and few restaurantes. You can ride you 4x4 or share the trip with... More

Castelhanos is a beautiful beach. It resembles a heart shape at certain states of tide. Even at the weekends, when most locals visit, it never feels crowded. At the northern end lies the trail to Gato waterfall. Getting to the beach is a bit of an obstacle. You either need to hire your own vehicle, or book one as part... More

One of the best beaches of the island. It has everything: waves, crystal clear water, white sandy beaches and very good swimming conditions. Not to mention the trip to get there - fantastic scenery! Not good options for food though, be prepared.

We rented a jeep (with a driver) and after around 40 minutes we got there. There isn't electricity in this beach so take money with you. Because there is a nice restaurant straight when we get there. I recommend to you to try fish bait and "caipirinha de folha de mexerica and also caipirinha de folha de pitanga" I loved... More

This is by far, one of the most beautiful beaches I've been. The hard access make it wild and untouched. To get there either you go by a 4x4 car or boat, I got there and back by car but you should go by boat and return by car, this way you can enjoy some other beaches on the way... More

To reach Castelhanos, you must have a 4x4 or hire the adventure companies that offer several options in Ilhabela (drive, drive&boat, etc). It takes aprox. 90min to get there due to the rough road... Once you're there, you can stay in the beach or explore the Cachoeira do Gato (aprox 40min by feet - tennis shoes recommended), which offer a... More

This beach is on the ocean side of Ilha Bela. If you go by jeep by prepared for a very rough ride from the village. Once there relax with lunch (cash only) on the beach. Put on your bug dope or the borrachudos will chew you to pieces. Maybe avoid locally concocted caipirinhas and stick to beer or soft drinks.... More

The trip to the beach was great. 4wd through the jungle to arrive at an isolated beach with a nice bar/restaurant. From the pictures we expected to be able to swim in calm beautiful water but it really is a surfers beach. The north end of the beach is a bit calmer but was still a lot of big waves.... More

Pleasant beach, with clean water. Nothing gorgeous or spectacular, but nice enough. Book your best jeep operator if you're going back by jeep. If the weather turns bad, the road is really treacherous. We were there after some rain and some older jeeps were stalled and looked really uncomfortable and bumpy. We had a Land Rover and were thankful for... More

Praia de Castelhanos is one of the most famous beaches in Ilhabela. You can get there by boat or by car. Bring sunscreen and insect repellent with you.
