The Olympic Forrest is really beautiful and has many great spots to hike and to visit. Their website has hours posted but they are wrong, the entrances to some places don’t open till 9, so check before going. Some park personnel are not very friendly...More

There was construction going on but they made it easy to get into the building. The staff was very helpful with our questions. The trip to Hurricane Ridge was very nice. With many places to pull over & take pictures.

The visitor center, although currently under renovation and housed next door in portables, is still well worth a visit. The ranger we spoke with was exceptionally knowledgeable and very friendly. He gave us maps and knew the area very well. Several areas were closed due...More

We basically stopped in to get a stamp for our National Park Passport but the two ladies at the desk were super sweet to my two enthusiastic grandkids. Always appreciate someone in their capacity being kind, understanding and helpful. Clean bathroom too.

Be aware - The Park is remodeling the visitors headquarters over the winter. The visitors center is temporarily housed in some prefab buildings about 1/2 mile NW of their usual building.

We loved the hiking out of Hurricane ridge visitor center. They have short walks, or long ones. The views of the Olympic mountains are spectacular. And there are deer everywhere . To hike this area, it's not far out of the city of Port Angeles,...More

Great views, really helpful staff and some interesting walks but so full of bugs that we cut our visit short.

The Rangers helped us plan our week for exploring and seeing the sights. Warned us about the road closing from 9-1 every day so we could get an early start. That saved a lot of aggravation.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

You could see parts of it, but not all. Perhaps drive up to Hurricane Ridge, then drive west to Lake Crescent and the South to the rain forest. Even that would be a long day, and you would miss the Elwah Valley, Solduc and... More

There's a small shopping center Forks Outfitters on the south side of Forks that might let you stay there. There's also an RV park the Forks 101 RV Park which is across 101 from the outfitters on a side street.
