We visited with family and our teenage son. There are two visitor centers, south and north, each showing different historical facts about the church (building of the temple). You can also visit the tabernacle and of course see the beautiful temple. We also took a...More

We arrived in Temple Square in mid-April. The gardens were a riot of tulips, hyacinth, daffodils and pansies. The fruit trees were in full blossom. It is a beautiful and peaceful place. Take time to enjoy it and to soak up the atmosphere. Whether or...More

The grounds are sacred and absolutely gorgeous. The tulips this time of year are so pretty. Just a beautiful place to spend the day with friends, with family or just by yourself. Bring a blanket and a lunch, it’s perfect for a picnic

With Cherry Blossoms in bloom, what’s not to like. Lovely gardens - even an atheist can feel tranquility. Many missionaries, generally female, on the grounds. But, from my experience during my visit, they are there to answer question, not to proselytize/sell. The only place that...More

Our first impression of Salt Lake City is that it is a very picturesque, clean, very friendly city ... and it doesn't seem too busy. We visited all of the main sights of Temple Square with highlights being the Tabernacle, the auditorium, the top of...More

As a meeting planner I often find that visitors think the tall walls and gates surrounding Temple Square are intended to keep visitors out. Perhaps when closed, like after 9pm. But not in general. Yes, you can go in. Walk around, view things, take in...More

A lot to do in a small area, City Creek next door, the Temple grounds, the visitor center, the Convention Center. You can spend a day and enjoy yourself, and if you get bored, there are other things just a short free Trax ride away.

They have underground parking available. I don’t know how much. We parked along the street for free. There isn’t tons of street parking but we had plenty on a weekend day.
