This is a beautiful building with some very nice statues and a very lovely painted ceiling. There is a great view of the city from the outside second level.

It is worth climbing the hill to then look back across to the city and the mountains. Going into the building is worth a trip and it's free.

Our City Sights tour guide was very knowledgeable and made the building come to life. You must view the Gold Room which is decorated with real gold. There are 2 main entrances, which are very different, but must be seen. Be prepared for steps and...More

Came here as part of bus tour. Nice building, but we spent 30 minutes - way too much time. Perhaps would have been better if someone explained the various attributes and functions within the building.

Even though, I don't think of SLC as big city, its State Capitol is very nice. The Architecture itself is quite an achievement for a young city. Walking through the hall ways, it is very well maintained. The art work covering important moments in the...More

This is an impressive structure and open to the public to walk through and admire. Not sure about office space but there were chambers for the legislators and the Utah Supreme Court. Lots of light and open spaces inside.....very beautiful.

On my visit there was no place to pay and so I wandered at leisure, but it is now a year since my visit and maybe things have changed. Suggest you phone direct to ask.
