We had just arrived in SLC, and I determined that the drive from SLC Airport to The Great Salt Lake, was about 15-20 minutes away, so why not go to the Park and see The Largest body of salt water in the Western Hemisphere? I...More

Located about 30 miles north of Salt Lake City this is a must see place for anyone wanting to escape the city. Very cheap at only 10 dollars per car. I saw wild bison and pronghorn deer. Scenery is fantastic and if you like hiking...More

From our hotel, I ask for things to do outside. We were directed to Antelope Island State Park. If you want to see wild Mison, Antelope Mountain Goats this is the place to go. It is also a major Rookery to many kinds of wadding...More

Huge herd of at least 150 bison down by the lake. The flora of wild sunflowers added beauty to the otherwise brown, rocky area. Worth the time and money

We read a lot about the smell and the flies but to me, it wasn't that bad. The visitor's center had an informative and entertaining video. The people were helpful and friendly. We were happy to see flush toilets too! The lake is pretty from...More

The park is beautiful, lots of places to hike. Wildlife is abundant. Nice to have so much elbow room.

We learned a lot about the Great Salt Lake history and current lake level variation. We didn't spend much time but enjoyed the video, took some pictures and used the restrooms while there. There was also information about the Rio Tinto Copper Mine, Power Plant,...More

If you're coming or going to airport, or passing through, this is a quick trip on I-80 west of the airport, exit 104 and follow signs. It's more of a Marina, costs $3 to drive in. Smell going towards the small visitor's center is awful....More

Visitor center is small and limited more of a marina for the lake. Kids can do a junior ranger program and get a badge. Not missing much in my opinion if you don't stop.

I'm not really sure what wildlife there is to see here. The park itself is pretty small, and other than some birds, I didn't see much of anything other than the lake while there.

Hi, huiling s. I went to Antelope Island last July. I doubt that you can get to Antelope Island by public transportation. It is about one hour and forty minutes' drive north of Salt Lake City. You have to get out to Antelope... More
