The Cathedral of the Madeleine is gorgeous inside and out. The artwork is visually stunning and well worth visiting. I do think tours can be arranged. The well trained voices of the Choir School provides angelic music for many of the Masses.

We came for the Christmas Eve carol service and Christmas Day Mass. What a beautiful worship space and glorious acoustics for the Madeleine Choir School choirs! Colorful paintings adorn the walls and the stained glass windows and stations of the cross are breathtaking.

The exterior and interior are both well worth a visit. The interior was beautiful and filled with exquisite stained glass windows. The interior decor was amazing with columns and light fixtures.

This Historical Chapel is amazing. Even if you are not Catholic, you can appreciate the craftsmanship of the construction. The wood work is amazing and the sculptures are beautiful. Defiantly a place to visit whether you live here or just visiting.

This is a beautiful Cathedral. It's not ornate and gaudy like some cathedrals I have visited. It has a simplicity and reverence about it. The murals and stained glass are really amazing. It's worth taking a hour to visit and pray, whether or not you...More

We were so thrilled to find this cathedral open for us to visit during the week, mid afternoon. If you love old churches, stained glass and beautiful architecture, you'll be delighted!
