You couldn't ask for more or better help. I was there for 6 hours and could have stayed longer. Just when I was about to leave the Elder who was helping me showed me more and I ended up staying another hour. Everyone was lovely and helpful

We were not planning on entering, end of day. Place is beautiful First 5 star hotel west of the Mississipi. Utah hotel. Redid by the Family search center (Mormons) Hall and mez kept up to luxury of old as is the top floor with 2 restaurants. Best buffet, nice garden restaurant also, great view.

Located in the old Utah Hotel dates back to 1912. It's beautifully ornate. And has the Nauvoo Cafe for snacks or lunch. The staff are very helpful and willing to guide you with your search. I highly recommend.

I was warmly welcomed into the family search center and helped for the entire 3 hours i was there. Never once was mormonism or religion pushed or preached. Just a great experience.

Have been using the FHL since the 1960s and really appreciate their constant efforts to improve. Advisers and full-time experts are well-trained. From what I observe, those new to family history get a fine and exciting introduction. Facilities are easy to use--full of computers as well as microfilm readers. Friendly, helpful advisers are stationed everywhere and make themselves readily available... More

You can enjoy this search center because you can learn about your family. The Mormons really know their genealogy and they have helped me in different parts of the country with my Family research.

Located in an obscure corner of the old Hotel Utah, this a gem for beginning genealogists. There are patient volunteers to teach you how to use Family Search and Family Tree to find and document your ancestors. It doesn't matter if you are ten or if you are eighty, drop by. As don't forget to appreciate the beautiful building as... More

Plenty of helpers to assist you in beginning and continuing your family research and best of all it is free. I was able to walk around the corner from the hotel to the center. And walk to restaurants, shopping and Temple Square

I was not sure about using this service, however, the lady who introduced me to the system seemed genuine and there to help me rather than proselytise. I enquired why the Mormon Church spend so much of their resources on this facility and was given what sounded like a genuine answer. Mormons believe that the family is so very important... More

This was a very interesting place. Our tour guide suggested we visit and I had been told about the place from another friend at work that said every time she visited customers in SLC she stopped in to research her family tree. I was here with friends from work and we were all assigned a volunteer that sat with us,... More
