We arrived right at opening $15 per person. We waited maybe 10 minutes for the tour to start but we got to see the baby kitties while we waited so that was super entertaining. Our tour guide was funny and very knowledgeable. I felt like I was blasted with information about each species and the individual cat as well. She brought all cats willing to participate to the front of their enclosure and showed them off to everyone...best up close encounter I could have asked for. The tour lasted about 2 hours. We roamed around on our own as well after the tour. Just a really nice time and well worth the money. I would defiantly recommend and will be back!

Great Cats World Park is a fascinating place. I had no idea they had such a variety of cats. They obviously love their cats and the cats were so healthy and active! We just made the last tour at 3:30 on a Friday and we learned so much. I really came away with a lot more knowledge about big cats, especially how critically endangered some are. That's one of the benefits of wildlife parks--we can see and appreciate these beautiful creatures. Definitely worth the trip, and try to take the tour. We spent about an hour viewing the cats, then bought a toy of our favorite, the baby black panther! When we got home we made a donation to panthera.org, a charity that works to reserve the genetic integrity and future of big cats around the world.

If you’re driving through Cave Junction, OR you can’t miss the turnout for Great Cats World. Admission is about $15 with senior and child discounts. Enter at the big gift shop, have a snack at the cafe, buy a ticket and off you go. Beautuful animals but I would have hoped for more natural habitats rather than chained link fence.

I first visited Great Cats over 10 years ago. In the time since, they've done a nice job of improvements. You'll find on display several species of Big Cats, many on the extremely endangered list. It's not the biggest exhibit - about 15 or so enclosures but the enclosures are secure, clean, and well-maintained as is the rest of the park. The guide(s) we had were knowledgable and enthusiastic. Guides rotate with a new tour starting every 15/20 minutes or so, so no waiting, at least when we went which was midsummer. You can join an existing group or hang out in the gift shop until next tour begins. Greats Cats also participates in a captive breeding program. On display are 2 white tigers that were bred at the park. We also saw a litter of Serval kittens when we were there. SO cute. This is a good place to bring the kids. Not a lot of shade so early in the day or on overcast day may be more comfortable. If you like cats, it is well worth the drive and $15 admission fee.
