Loved visiting USS Lexington for first time. VERY large so plan several hours to visit, even a day. Signage is a bit wanting, and it took quite a while to figure out the "flow" in order to see 'everything' which one wants to do obviously. Top deck and bridge were awesome experience and highlight of self-guided tour. Also enjoyed the... More

This place was loved by the entire family!! So many planes and engines to see! We spent several hours here and didn't see everything. I would love to visit again soon.

Visited during a brief overnight stay in Corpus ... was very pleasantly surprised at how organized and hands-on the whole experience was. My two kids (9&7) were very much entertained, learning and engaged the whole time ... been on battleships, submarines and frigates before but this was my first time experiencing the enormity of an aircraft carrier. Definitely worth the... More

Go earlier before it gets to hot. Not for people that have issues with tight/ narrow or low ceiling places. Has alot of steps to access different exhibits. Very informative.

Just went last week. It was a very good history lesson. It might a bit difficult with kids as there are a lot of steps/ladders to walk on. I went without the kids but would definitely go back and take them. Lots of cool things to look at, i.e. planes, guns. Also an entire history lesson of the ship, would... More

This visit to the great USS Lexington was my 3rd visit to the ship, and I was highly impressed. All the planes on the deck have a wonderful paint job. They have installed an elevator from the hanger deck to the flight deck, and it made it easy to move my son' stroller from each level. The Ship's various sections... More

If you are anywhere near you have to see this. Standing on the deck you would never believe they could take off and land in that short space.

Definitely worth seeing in Corpus Christi. If you really like exploring big ships, you can spend 4 -5 hours on the ship, especially if you read most of the exhibit signs, see the movies, and speak with the very knowledgeable volunteers like I did. Seeing all of the different planes on the flight deck and walking out to the end... More

First off, make sure to wear comfortable shoes! There is lots of walking to do, especially lots of stairs to go up and down. However, everything is very interesting and the views from the Flight Deck are amazing! Lots to explore and interact with, incredibly fun.

I have a hard time with things related to war and military, but I still enjoyed this experience. It was very educational. It is, however, a strenuous activity. There are many "ladders" (nautical for steep ship stairs) to be navigated in order to see the many tour sections of the ship. Along with military history, a good variety of information... More
