The orchids alone made this worth the trip!!! There are assorted flora and fauna to view and even feed. Would absolutely visit again.

We paid the fee and discovered several school outings were going on. We were told by a rude volunteer we were not allowed in one of the buildings because it was closed to people except for the school group. I told her we were not advised on any places we could not view but she told us we had to... More

Visited on a cold windy January day so not many flowers to see in the wild. The orchid house had some beautiful blooms. There are nice trails that take you out to view the natural wetlands. The rose garden looks to be in very good shape for the coming spring blooms. I liked seeing the various types of cactus and... More

We stopped by,but because it was cold we were told all animals were inside and put away. Flowers not in bloom this time of year. It was nice of clerk to tell us this and we did not waste time or money.

We were unsure of what we could do with it being so windy but we spent a good 1-2 hours seeing all the reptiles (iguana, lizards, turtles, snakes); birds - cockatoo, parrots, conyers, quakers, etc, orchids as well as wild water fowls. Yes both the humming birds and butterflies weren't in season but we did see some wild butterflies. The... More

We went to see flowers & walk. This was a very nice place to relax & see flowers & birds. We were disappointed that the butterfly display was closed for season thing it would be indoors one however was really pleased with bird collection & show. The bird show was really laid back & personal so was the highlight of... More

Lovely gardens and nature center in the midst of road construction - don't let that deter you from seeking this out for some quiet respite. There are very good trails for meandering or walking at a faster pace. I thoroughly enjoyed the orchid house - so many varieties to drool over! Several bird species on site behind cages which are... What a nice way to spend an afternoon. We fed quite a few of their caged parrots and other birds, fed goldfish in the pond, took a quiet walk on their nature trail and just communed with nature. The staff here was extremely friendly and attentive. The loved showing off their birds and other reptiles here. The gardens are neat and... More

Given that these gardens are run by a nonprofit organization on limited funds, they are wonderful. Of course more money is needed for new posters, better signs, and the like. But, the entire place is pretty and peaceful even in December. I enjoyed my stay there and found it interesting. I especially liked the rock furniture and seeing the turtles... More
